Many features are included to make your life easier: import your photos and improve their visual appearance directly in the EmailBuilder after integrating them into your email.
In order to retouch your images, click on the image you want to edit. A window "Properties of the image" will appear. Click on the "Retoucher" button at the top of this window:
Wait a few seconds (depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the weight of your photo) until the image editor is initialized:
Once the editor is open, a number of action buttons allow you to work on the visual rendering of your image:
Zoom | Crop | Filters | Settings | Text | Sticker | Blur | Frame | Abandon / Cancel / Save
The "Zoom" feature allows you to enlarge or reduce the preview of your photo on the image editor, in order to gain comfort of work or to take a step back on your creation.
Example of a 70% zoom and a 306% zoom
This feature is not intended to change the size of your image in your email. It is simply a display option within the image editor.
To find out how to modify "Really" dimensions of your image within your email, click here.
The "Crop" menu allows you to cut a part of your image to keep only the essentials of what you want to show.
Beyond crop your image, this menu also allows you to rotate, flip or tilt.
Once you click on the "Crop" menu you will see new buttons appear around your image:
Rotation allows you to straighten an image: tilt to the left (from 0 to -45°) or to the right (from 0 to + 45°) to orient your image as you see fit.
You will notice that a dark gray veil is positioned on a part of your initial image when you rotate: this is the part of your image that you will crop (and therefore lose). The clear part will be kept.
Once you have made your adjustments on the "trim" menu, click on the arrow at the bottom left of your screen to return to the home page of the image editor.
A filter is a transformation of the color profile of your image.
28 preformatted filters by Mailify allow you to modify the display of your photo. You can play on the hue, saturation, brightness or the colors of your photo:
By default, all filters are displayed. You can decide to display them by major categories (retro, black and white, summer, winter, special occasions) by clicking on the "All" button located at the bottom left of the editor.
A filter named "Original" allows you to return to your original image, without applying a filter. (Be careful, when you apply a filter to an image and exit this menu, you will not be able to return to the initial state of your image, without filter.)
When you apply a filter on your image, you can adjust the intensity of it so that the applied effect is more or less subtle. By default the intensity of the filter is set to the maximum (100%), you are free to attenuate it if necessary:
Once you have set your filter, click on the arrow at the bottom left of the editor to return to the home page.
The settings menu allows you to manually play the brightness, saturation, contrast, clarity, exposure of your image (unlike filters whose settings are prerecorded.) You can also play on the black and white levels, thanks to the "Shadow" and "Highlighting" options.
You can combine several settings simultaneously.
For each parameter, an adjustment bar allows you to manage the intensity of the effect.
Once you have made your adjustments and you have achieved the desired result, click on the arrow at the bottom left of your screen to return to the publisher's home page.
The "Text" menu allows, as its name indicates, to add textual content to your image.
When you click on the menu "Text", a field appears on your image with the inscription "Double-click to edit", which means literally: "Double-click (on this field) to edit (its textual content)".
Double-click in the box, and enter the text you want to appear.
The "Size" button allows you to adjust the size of your text.
First of all, you can adjust the size of your text box with the button at the top right of it.
If your area is too narrow for the desired text size, your textual content will include line breaks.
Once your zone is correctly set, play with the slider to increase the size of your text.
By default, the font "Helvetica" is selected.
The "ABC" button in the bottom menu allows you to select a writing font.
The alignment button allows you to align your text to the left, center, or right of your text box.
You can adjust the color of your text by clicking on the "Foreground" button located at the bottom right of your editor.
The upper part of the color picker allows you to manage the transparency of your text.
You can also select a background color that will apply to your entire text box.
To do this, click on the button "Background" located at the bottom right of your editor. A color picker appears: select your background color in this one. You can adjust the transparency of your background in the upper part of the color picker
You can also manage the angle (tilt) of your text with the button at the bottom right of your text box.
You can also move your text box on the image by selecting it with the displacement cursor:
If you want to delete your text box, click on the "Trash can" button located above your text box:
Once you have adjusted your text as you see fit, click on the arrow at the bottom left of your editor to return to the home page of it.
Stickers are predefined shapes that you can add to your image.
A gallery of shapes appears on your screen. You can sort shapes by categories by clicking on the "All" button located at the bottom left of the editor:
Once you have found the sticker that suits you, click on it to insert it onto your image.
The buttons located at the top left and bottom right of the inserted sticker allow you to adjust its size as well as its inclination on the image:
Stickers are especially useful when it comes to highlighting information about your image. You can insert text on your sticker to highlight a promotional offer for example:
The buttons above your sticker allow you to flip it horizontally, vertically, duplicate it, or delete it.
Once you have made all necessary adjustments to your sticker, click on the arrow at the bottom left of the editor to return to its home page.
This option allows you to blur part of your image to highlight, or hide, an object or a subject.
By default, no blur is applied to your image:
The "Radial" option allows you to blur everything around a circular area: in the image below, the radial blur brings out the water lily flower compared to the rest of the the image.
It is possible to adjust the size of the blur area by stretching the white slider on the circle.
It is also possible to adjust the intensity of the blur applied outside the area by playing with the slider at the bottom of the image.
The "Linear" option works in the same way as radial blur, but on a linear, not circular, area.
Like radial blur, you can adjust the size, the angle of the area, and the intensity of the filter on the blurred area.
Once you have made the necessary adjustments, click on the arrow at the bottom left of the editor to return to the home screen of the editor while keeping the changes made to your image.

The "Dia" frame that plays back a filmstrip: you can adjust the width of the frame with the slider at the bottom of the image.
The "Simple" frame allows you to add a regular border around your image. You can customize the thickness of the border using the slider at the bottom of your image. You can also customize the color and transparency of this frame by clicking on "Color" at the bottom right of the editor.
The frame "White", contrary to its name is not necessarily white. It is a frame of irregular shape (imitation "Paint roller"). You can customize the thickness of the frame with the slider at the bottom of your image. You can also customize the color and transparency of the frame by clicking "Color" at the bottom right of the editor.
Once you have adjusted your frame as you see fit, click on the arrow at the bottom left of your screen to return to the home page of the image editor while keeping your changes.
The cross at the top left of your editor allows you to undo all current changes without saving, and exit the image editor instantly.
The arrow at the bottom left of your editor (only visible when you have made a change to your image) allows you to return to the editor's home screen, taking into account your latest changes. So you can continue editing your image by adding other effects before saving permanently.
The "Cancel" button (top right of the editor) allows you to cancel your last modification.
The "Save" button (top right of the editor) allows you to save your photo as it appears on the screen.
